Christopher Darneal
Professional Experience
Christopher is licensed to practice law in Oklahoma and Wisconsin. Additionally, he is admitted to the U.S District Courts of the Western and Eastern Districts of Oklahoma. He is also admitted to a number of Indian Tribal Courts throughout Oklahoma. Prior to going to law school, Christopher was a financial statement auditor with Ernst & Young, LLP in Oklahoma City.
Christopher began his legal career in Norman, Oklahoma working for an Indian Law firm focusing primarily on litigation related cases in federal and state court. In addition, Christopher has worked for a small firm in Wisconsin where he was a general practitioner focusing on estate planning, real estate, and general litigation.
While in law school, Christopher held a variety of positions. These included internships with the Wisconsin Department of Corrections, the U.S. Attorney's Office foe the Western District of Wisconsin, the Dodge County Wisconsin District Attorney's Office, the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources, and the legal defense Program. Christopher has extensive litigation experience in criminal law, both at the state and federal level, administrative law, and civil law.
Christopher's experiences has fostered an intense desire to be an aggressive litigator for his clients, while simultaneously providing his client the personal attention clients feel the can trust him unconditionally.
Personal
Christopher was born in Talihina, Oklahoma. Despite growing up in Aledo, Texas he has significant ties to Southeastern Oklahoma. The majority of his family lives in McAlester, Wilburton, and throughout Southeastern Oklahoma.
Christopher attended Eastern Oklahoma state College on a full academic. IN addition, he attended the University of Oklahoma on a full academic scholarship where he majored in Accounting/ Economics and graduated with honors in 2002. Subsequent to graduating he worked for Ernst & Young, LLP for two years as an auditor performing financial statement auditor for a variety of clients ranging from small companies to large publicly traded companies.
Christopher received a full academic scholarship to a number of top rated law schools including: the University of Wisconsin Law School, the University of Iowa College of Law, the University of Colorado Law School, and Baylor Law School. He ultimately selected the University of Wisconsin Law School. While in law school he focused on obtaining real-world, litigation experience so that he could start his legal career with the tools and experience necessary to be successful from the start. Consequently, he participated in five internships, which provided priceless training by exposing him to real people with real problems.
Christopher has been married to Cheryll for approximately ten years. They have one child, Alexandra, who is the center of their world. When he is not working he spends his free time with Cheryll and Alexandra. He enjoys hunting, Fishing, Backpacking, riding motorcycles, and almost anything outdoors.
