Professional Experience

Mark began his legal career in Oklahoma City working for a medical malpractice defense firm that represented doctors and hospitals exclusively. After working there for three years Mark joined the Stipe Law Firm in his hometown of McAlester, OK.

While at Stipe Law, Mark's practice consisted of work in the areas of personal injury, automobile wrecks, trucking wrecks, and medical malpractice. He always represented the hurt individual and successfully defeated some of the largest companies in the world including Wal-Mart, General Motors, U.S. Government, UPS, Pfizer, State Farm, Steiner Industries, and Flint Energy to name a few.

At the young age of 29 Mark handled a capital punishment case by representing an individual charged with two counts of murder. At trial, Mark was able to defeat one of the charges of murder and saved the life of his client by compelling the jury to not give the death penalty.

Not one to settle easily, Mark has tried numerous jury trials in both state and federal courts all across Oklahoma. He has achieved multiple million dollar (plus) verdicts and has one of the largest personal injury settlements in the State of Oklahoma.

In May 2006, Mark and his partner Tony Edwards (no relation) began the Edwards Law Firm. Their mission was simple: To provide better, more personal service to their clients.

Mark's main areas of practice include:

  • Trucking (tractor-trailer) Wrecks
  • Automobile Wrecks
  • Product (unsafe products) Liability
  • Medical Malpractice
  • Pharmaceutical Litigation
