4-Year-Old Struck By SUV at Park Elementary School in Tulsa
Posted on behalf of Edwards Law Firm on Aug 28, 2013 in Auto Accidents
On Tuesday afternoon a four year old girl was struck and killed by a car at Park Elementary School in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Although the little girl was not a child at the school, she was there with her mother to pick up her siblings. The girl was walking with her mother at the time of the accident.
Reports indicate that the little girl let go of her mothers and ran across the driveway when she was struck by a car that did not see her. The driver of the vehicle was pulling into the parking lot to pick up her child.
The accident occurred just after the bell rang leaving dozens of children as witnesses to the horrific incident. Although the elementary school does have crossing guards, there was nothing that could have been done to prevent this accident from occurring.
Park Elementary School will have counselors on hand throughout the week to assist students with coping with the accident and the loss of this young girl.
