Three Killed in Christmas Eve Crash Near Norman

A two-vehicle collision south of Oklahoma City killed three people on Christmas Eve.
Police investigators say the collision occurred on Wednesday afternoon just after 1 p.m. A Chevy Silverado, driven by 54-year-old Michael Rutherford, crossed the center line while traveling westbound on Highway 9. Rutherford's vehicle collided with a Chevy Malibu driven by Terry Graumann, 51.
Rutherford, Graumann, and Nellie Billey, a passenger in the Malibu, were killed in the crash.
Highway 9 was closed for over four hours as police investigated the crash. Why the Silverado crossed the center line is still being determined.
Fatal auto accidents are always traumatic, but these tragedies are so much worse near the holidays. The attorneys at The Edwards Law Firm extend their deepest condolences to the families of Mr. Rutherford, Mr. Graumann, and Ms. Billey.
